Privacy policy

In short: this website sets no cookies, keeps no visitor statistics and stores nothing you type.

Who is responsible

The website is published by the Centre for Family Entrepreneurship and Ownership (CeFEO) at Jönköping International Business School, Jönköping University, on behalf of the EuFBC network. Jönköping University is the data controller. Contact: eufbc@ju.se. For data protection questions you can also contact the data protection officer at Jönköping University.

What we collect from visitors

Nothing. The public website has no forms that send data to us, no newsletter sign-up, no cookies and no analytics, and it stores nothing in your browser. The only box you can type in, Ask Dashy, sends your question straight to fbdashboard.org (see below).

People named on the website

The website lists the members of the network's committees with their name, academic title, affiliation and links to their public profiles. The information comes from the member centers and is published because these people hold a role in the network. Anyone listed can ask us to correct or remove their details.

Services the website relies on

Hosting

The pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub processes technical data, including IP addresses, for operation and security. See the GitHub privacy statement.

Content database

The content is loaded from CeFEO's own server, data.familybusiness.se, which is hosted by Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland. The server receives your IP address as part of the request, as any web server does. It does not use it to identify or track you.

Typefaces

The typefaces are served from this website itself. No requests are made to Google or other font services.

Editors

A small number of people from the network sign in to update the content. For them we store an e-mail address and a password in CeFEO's database, and a sign-in token in the browser while they are signed in.

Ask Dashy

Center pages offer a box for asking Dashy, the AI assistant of the Family Business Research Dashboard (fbdashboard.org). When you press "Ask Dashy", your question is sent to fbdashboard.org and the answer opens there; EuFBC does not receive or store it. Dashy is an AI system and its answers are generated automatically, so they can contain errors. fbdashboard.org's own privacy policy applies to the questions it receives.

We link to the websites of the member centers, their universities and LinkedIn. Once you follow a link, that website's own policy applies.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of or erasure of personal data we process about you, and to object to the processing. If you are dissatisfied you may complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
