Accessibility statement
The Centre for Family Entrepreneurship and Ownership (CeFEO) at Jönköping International Business School publishes eufbc.org on behalf of the European Family Business Research Centers Network. We want as many people as possible to be able to use the site.
How accessible is the website?
We aim for level AA of WCAG 2.1. The website is partially compliant with that level. The shortcomings we know of are described below.
What works
- The pages are built with semantic HTML and can be operated entirely by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Images and graphics have text alternatives, and purely decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and background meet the contrast requirements, and colour is never the only means of conveying information.
- The pages work at 400 % zoom and on small screens without losing content.
- Animations are switched off for visitors who have chosen reduced motion in their operating system.
- The language of the pages is declared in the markup.
Known shortcomings
The network map and the leaf graphic
The animated map on the home page and the network leaf are illustrations. A screen reader hears a short description of each. Everything the map shows, every member center and its city, is also available as text on the Centers page.
JavaScript is required
The content is loaded with JavaScript. With JavaScript switched off, the pages show no content. Contact us and we will send the information in another format.
English only
The website is available in English only.
Reporting problems
If you cannot use parts of the website, write to eufbc@ju.se. We normally reply within ten working days and will give you the information in another format if we cannot fix the problem directly.
Enforcement
The Agency for Digital Government (DIGG) supervises compliance with the Swedish act on the accessibility of digital public services. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your report, you can notify DIGG.
How we tested the website
Internal review: automated checking of markup and contrast, together with a manual pass using the keyboard, at 400 % zoom and with reduced motion. This statement covers eufbc.org and was drawn up on 31 October 2026.
