The Institute for Family Business at WU Vienna (Vienna Institute for Family Business, VIF) studies family firms and the families that own them. Led by Reinhard Prügl, it researches topics such as succession, governance, innovation, intellectual property, digitalisation and family offices, including a project on business-owning families in transition. It also teaches the specialisation in Management of Family Businesses and connects with practice through events like the WU Family Business Talk.
