ABSTRACT – The Journal of Family Business Strategy was established in 2010. JFBS is one of the top three academic journals dedicated exclusively to family business. The journal has emerged as one of the most important sources in terms of academic research on family business. The journal reached its 10th year of publishing in 2019.Therefore, it is important to analyze its genesis in order to make progress with future research. We deploy a combination of bibliometric performance indicators such as citations, impact factor and productivity of authors and affiliated institutions and countries as well as a network analysis using VOSviewer software based on co-citation of authors, bibliographic coupling and co-occurrence of keywords.
